Fascia and Soffits
Did You Know?
At install or repair time, the fascia and soffit can be surfaced in any color. Some homeowners choose to match the color of the siding, and others install contrasting or accent color.Â
Do you need repairs to your fascia and soffits, or replacements?
From the ground, it may appearthat the fascia and soffits just need new paint. But on closer examination of the wood, it may become obvious that they're beyond repair and need to be replaced.
The fascia and the soffit are two important components of every house. Builders install or repair the fascia to protect the internal structures of a roof, and the soffit to cover the area between the bottom of the fascia and the exterior wall.
Fascia Board
A fascia is a horizontal board that runs below and is attached to your home’s rafters. The fascia board creates a finished look by covering the ends of the rafters supporting the building’s roof.
Soffits
Soffits are the underside of the eaves of your home or other building. Soffits are also the overhang space between the end of the roof and the exterior side of the structure. A soffit may have installed vents to provide air circulation for a cooler attic.Â
